OBITUARY.......
Martha Brandon Ford, 92, died February 19, 2007.
A Memorial Service was held February 22, 2007 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC with Rev. John A. Gess officiating.
She was born November 4, 1914 in York County, SC to the late Forrest C. and Margaret Riddle Brandon. She was the widow of Lacy K. Ford, Sr.,who died in 2005. They were married in 1938. Martha was a life long resident of York County, SC, with a long record of service to her church and community.  She graduated from Clover High School and Winthrop College. At Winthrop she earned her degree in education and taught for nearly ten years in the Clover public schools. In 1958, she began work as a case worker for the York County Department of Social Services where she worked in programs for old age assistance and aid to families with dependent children, which served many of the county's most needy citizens.  A life long Presbyterian, she was an  active member of the historic Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she served as President of the Women in the Church, Circle Chair and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her son, Lacy K. Ford, Jr., two grandchildren and numerous extended family.
