GLENN/Son of William and Eliza Glenn/who departed this life Decr. 26th/1861 aged 29 years 5 months and/7 days/He was a member of the [illegible] Com/pany 5th Regt S.C.V. he was a/mong the brave youths to respond/to the first call of his noble State/For her defense; he served the cam-/paign on Sullivan's Island and/then entered the service in Vir-/ginia which he cheerfully end-/ured until striken down by dis-/ease.
