Biography

OBITUARY:   
Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson Harper (Mrs. Carl Brown Harper, Jr.), 58, passed away May 23, 1992, at her home following a six year battle with lymphoma.
She was born April 12, 1934, to the late Mr. Horace Carl Johnson and Mrs. Annie Stanton Johnson.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Greenville, South Carolina, and was active in the Women of the Church.  She served as treasurer of the Foothills Presbyterian Women.She was a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and served as past president of the Piedmont Chapter of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants Auxiliary.
She was very active  in the South Carolina Federated Women's Clubs, Northern District Division. She was a member of the Hillbrook Forest Garden Club and the Magnolia  Debutante Club.
Survivors were her husband, Carl Brown Harper, Jr., her mother, Mrs. Horace Carl Johnson, two daughters, one son, three sisters, and four brothers.
Funeral service was held May 26, 1992, at Westmister Presbyterian Church, Greenville, South Carolina, and graveside service and interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery, Clover, South Carolina.
The Mackey Mortuary Greenville, South Carolina, served the Harper family.
