Martha Barnett 1753 - 1804

Epitaph:
In/Memory of/MARTHA BARNETT/Who departed this life/[illegible] 1804/Aged 81 Years./Farewell kind soul no longer now confined/Within the sickly ruins of thy day;/On angels wings far swifter than the wind/She fled to regions of eternal day.
Description:
The original stone tablet is standing beside a granite die on base that was placed by the family to commemorate the burials of both Thomas Barnett and his wife Martha Barnett. There is also a granite lawn-style marker with the inscription "THOMAS/BARNETT/1750-1813/PATRIOT" to the west of the granite die on base. The original headstones of Thomas and Martha Barnett were conserved and reset by Harpe Consulting in 2015.
