OBITUARY.....
Violet Newton Brandon, 86, died April 1, 2000 at Rehabilitation and Health Center, Gastonia, NC.
She was a native of Gastonia, NC and was born January 29, 1914 to the late Charles Benjamin and Erla Smith Newton.  She was the wife of the late Joseph William Brandon, Sr., mother of the late Martha Ann Robinson and the grandmother of the late Dana A. Robinson.  Mrs. Brandon was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC.
Funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. John A. Gess officiating.  Burial was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Myra B. Alexander, a son, Joseph W. "Billy" Brandon, Jr., ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
