OBITUARY:
Mrs. Kay McCarter Stewart, 67, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October l, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1958 to Andy B. McCarter(Deceased) and Joy Ballard McCarter.
Kay worked as a medical lab technican for over 40 years. She worked for Devine Savior Hospital, York Family Medicine and Winthrop University Health Services. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She truly loved being called Peppi by her grandchildren. Kay loved spending time working in her flower beds and watching her Clemson Tigers play.
She was survived by her husband, Ron, of 45 years, her son, Kyle, and her daughter, Morgan, her three grandchildren, her mother, Joy, and her sister, Gail.
A funeral service was held Monday, October 5, 2006, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina, with the Rev. Chris Donnelly officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
