Biography

OBITUARY:
Mr. Donald Ergo Johnson, 82, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away at home, meeting his Savior face to face, on October 7, 2025.
He was born November 10, 1942, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to the late Walker Faris Johnson and Maude Davis Johnson.  He retired from Siemens in 2001 after 32 years of service.
Don was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed farming and traveling. His many interests included flying an airplane for seveal years, and later flying model airplanes, beekeeping and horseback riding. He served as both Deacon and Elder at Bethel Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Clover, South Carolina, and was a frequent delegate to the PCA General Assembly.   He cared deeply for others, often putting them above himself and faithfully visited the elderly and the sick, especially during his retirement years.
He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Pritchard Johnson, one son, Edward, two daughters, Susan and Candace, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Don's funeral service was held October 10, 2025, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina, with Rev. Chris Donnelly and Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Internment was in Bethel Cemetery.
M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, Clover, South Carolina, assisted the Johnson Family.
