OBITUARY:
Roy Edward Baker, 97, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away January 7, 2005, at his home.
He was born February 2, 1928, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Lewis and Laura Belle Sargent Baker. He was the beloved husband to Betty Baker for over 70 glorious years. He had 4 siblings who are all deceased. He had one daughter, Sandra B. Joyner, who is deceased.
He is survived by one daughter, Deborah B. Stuck, and two grandsons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Roy graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School, Pittsburgh, PA, with Honors. He enlisted in the US Navy to serve his country during the Korean War.
He was a godly man and member for many years at Calvary Church, Charlotte, North Carolina. More recently, he was a member of Redeeming Grace, PCA. Lake Wylie, South Carolina.
The funeral service was held January 15, 2024, at M. L. Ford and Sons, Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery, Clover, South Carolina.
M. L. Ford and Sons served the Baker Family.
