OBITUARY:
Mr. Alton Andree Burns, 85, of York, South Carolina, passed away February 5, 2024, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mr. Burns was born December 11, 1938, in Filbert, South Carolina, to the late William Watson and Mary Watson Hogue Burns. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. He was a past member of the National Guard and retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Childers Burns, a daughter, Suzanne Burns McGonagill, and a grandson, John McGonagill.
A Memorial Service was held on February 9, 2024, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina, officiated by Rev. Trent Thomas. Interment was private in Bethel Church Cemetery.
