Biography

OBITUARY:
Miss Mary Rebecca Glenn, 93, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at CaroMont Regional, Gastonia, North Carolina.
Miss Glenn was born June 4, 1927 in York County, South Carolina to the late William Johnston Glenn and Lena Currence Glenn. She was a graduate of Montreat College and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, York, South Carolina before moving her membership to the First Presbyterian Church, Gastonia, North Carolina. Rebecca was a teacher for missionary children in Brazil for eleven years and then retired from the North Carolina Employment Security Commission, Gastonia, North Carolina after 25 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Surviving are a sister, Carolyn Glenn Dye, a brother, Fabian Glenn, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Clover, South Carolina with the Rev. Michael Guffee officiating.
