OBITUARY:
Matthew Alex Newbern, "Max Man", was born December 2, 2016 and passed away December 9, 2016 at Levine Children's Hospital, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Funeral service was held December 13, 2016 at Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lake Wylie, South Carolina and conducted by Rev. Aaron Morgan. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
He was survived by his parents, Christopher Nathan and Megan Hawkins Newbern; sisters, Elizabeth and Eleoner Newbern, several grandparents, great grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
Memorials were made to Scherer Memorial PCA, Newbern Memorial Fund to be used to help with adoption fees for a close family friend. Chris and Megan will find comfort knowing Matthew played a role in helping another child find their forever home through adoption.
