Sacred/TO THE/memory of/Christopher McCarter/who departed this life/Octr. 19th 1823/aged 65 years./Hark a sad sound of solemn done,/Slow moves the hearse in subtle threst./The flower has buded, sweet & blown/The man of years has sunk to rest.
Description:
Soapstone tablet with a granite lawn-style marker flush with the ground in front of the tablet. The inscription on the granite marker is as follows: "CHRISTOPHER/MCCARTER/1758-1823/PATRIOT".
