OBITUARY.........
Anna Elizabeth Long, 20, passed away unexpectedly April 6, 2015 in Spartanburg, SC.
Anna was born August 14, 1994 in Gastonia, NC to David Gerold and Peggy Whitesides Long. She graduated in 2012 from Clover High School as a Honor graduate and an outstanding senior band member. Anna was a student at the Mary Black School of Nursing USC Upstate. She currently served as secretary of USC Upstate's chapter of Gamma Beta Phi, an honor and service organization, and was its incoming vice-president. In addition, she was an active member of the Student Nursing Association and Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). Her ultimate goal was to work at the St. Jude Children's Hospital. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC and was involved in the youth group. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Hobert Long, maternal grandparents, Dee and Margaret Whitesides and an uncle, Jack Whitesides.
Funeral service was held April 9, 2015 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC with Rev. John A. Gess officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Also, a Memorial Service was held on the USC Upstate campus following burial arrangements.
Survivors include her parents, David and Peggy Long, brother, Andrew David Long, grandmother, Helga Long (OMA), and several close relatives and friends.
