OBITUARY.........
David McAllister Glenn, Jr., 79, died April 21, 2001. He was a native of Clover, SC. He was born October 22, 1921 to the late David M. Glenn, Sr. and Mary R. Glenn.
He was a graduate of Clover High School, attended Clemson University and received a degree in textile engineering from Belmont, NC Textile School. His family had farmed on the same land for five generations. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the 2nd Division. Mr. Glenn served in Europe during World War II and participated in the invasion of Normandy. He worked for Hoechst Celanese in Rock Hill, with 20 years of service. He served as a Deacon at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC and at the time of his death was Deacon Emertius. He was also active in the Men's Bible Class. After retiring to Florida, he attended Memorial Presbyterian Church, St. Augustine.
Funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. John A. Gess officiating. Burial was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Gladys Johnson Glenn, two daughters, two sisters, three brothers, and six grandchildren and a number of extended family.
