OBITUARY......
Gladys Johnson Glenn, 85, went to be with the Lord October 8, 2009 after a brief illness.Gladys was born August 7, 1924 in York County, SC and was resident of Clover, SC for 74 years until retirement to Florida in 1998.
Gladys was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC. Before her move to FL she had received much joy from staying active in the women's organization and also served as Historian for the church. Gladys was a beloved mother and grandmother whose love and strength had an enduring effect on the lives of her loved ones. Her passions were her children and grandchildren, gardening, the ocean and the Braves. Always interested in politics and world affairs, she spread that passion to her entire family. She will be remembered by those who loved her most for her common sense, practical advice and endless preparations for family events.
Funeral service will be held October 17, 2009 at Bethel Presbyterian Church with interment in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, David McAllister Glenn. She was survived by two daughters, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters and a number of nieces and nephews.
