Francis A. Meek Dies At Bethel Home
CLOVER, S.C. - Francis A. Meek, well known farmer of the Bethel section, died at his home at 4 o'clock Wednesday morning following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. Tilden Scherer, officiating, followed by interment in Bethel cemetery.
Deceased was a native and life-long resident of the Bethel section. He was born July 9, 1884, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meek.
Surviving are his widow, the former Eulala Boyd; two sons, James A. Meek of Gastonia and Brice Meek of Bethel; one daughter, Mrs. John S. Camp of Columbia, S.C.; four brothers, Will of the New Hope section, Robert of Gastonia, Sam of Bethel and T.L. of Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Meek was a life-long and loyal member of Bethel church. Until he became ill he was active in the church and the community.
