OBITUARY..Currence Rites Held Monday.
The funeral service for Mrs. Harry J. Currence, 71, of Bethel was held on Monday afternoon at the Bethel Presbyterian Church,
followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Currence died Sunday at the York General Hospital, Rock Hill, SC. She was born April 26, 1893, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.Robert D. McKee.
Rev. Kenneth Newman and Rev. Robert N. Lominack, Jr. officiated at the service for Mrs. Currence, who was a member of the Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, H.J. Currence, Jr. of York and Marvin Currence of Rock Hill, one daughter, Agnes Prevatte of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren; four brothers, S.K.,B. D., and J. L. McKee all of Pineville, NC and B.W. McKee of Durham, NC, and two sisters, Elsie Osborne and Hixie Currence both of Pineville, NC.
