Paul Neil Boyd, Sr., 82, died November 7, 2004 at Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville, NC
A native of York County, SC, Mr. Boyd was born May 24, 1922 to the late Eldred Enloe Boyd and Katie Robinson Boyd.
Mr. Boyd was a lifelong active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC.where he served as an Elder, Trustee and at the time of his death was an Elder Emertius.
He graduated from Clover High School and was an US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, having served in Guam as a gunner. He was founder and owner of Boyd Tire and Appliance, Clover, SC and was a farmer and breeder of registered Angus cattle. Mr. Boyd was an active member of the Bethel Cemetery Association and served on the Board of Directors. He was a Mason, a Shriner and was one of the organizers of the Clover Community Bank.
His funeral was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church November 9, 2004 with Rev. John A. Gess officiating. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Surviving was his wife, Evelyn Davis Boyd, a daughter, two sons, two grandchildren and a sister.
