OBITUARY.......
Carlisle  Robert Grey, ll,  88, formerly of Clover, SC,  died August 1, 1999 at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC.
Mr. Grey was a native of Hickory, NC and was born March 1, 1911 to the late Carlisle Rish and Margaret Helen Riddle Grey. He was the husband of the late Mary Josephine Allen Grey.
He was a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, pilot, veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict, was with Chenault in China.  After 45 years of flying he never lost a student, passenger, cargo or commercial aircraft. 
Funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. John A. Gess officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
Surviving was one son, Carlisle Robert Grey, III, MD.
