Biography

OBITUARY....
Sarah Virginia Barnett Riddle, 67, passed away in a Charlotte hospital February 24, 1960.  She had been critically ill since suffering a stroke April 30, 1957.  She was born in York County, SC on April 16, 1892 to the late Alexander Hamilton Barnett and Eliza Hill Barnett. As children, she and her future husband, Robert Saye Riddle,  joined Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC in May, 1905. They were married December 25, 1912. She was a graduate nurse, a very devoted wife, a most charitable nurse, a friend of all with whom she came in contact and truly one of God's ladies.
Funeral service was held at Miller and Kerns Hawthorne Chapel, Charlotte, NC with Revs. David H. Coblentz and George L. Riddle officiating. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Riddle was survived by her husband, Robert Saye Riddle, a sister, two brothers, and a number of nieces and nephews.
