Biography

OBITUARY......
Robert Saye Riddle, 68, died November 18, 1960 in a Charlotte hospital after a short illness. Mr. Riddle was born August 10, 1892 in York County, SC, to the late Robert B. Riddle and Hannah Grist Riddle.
He was a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church,  Alpine Masonic Lodge No. 208 of Clover, SC, Carolina Consistory, Scottish Rites Bodies and Oasis Temple of the Shrine. Mr. Riddle was a retired sales representative in North and South Carolina for Keasbey and Mattison Company of Ambler, PA, makers of asphalt roofing.
Funeral service was held at the Miller and Kerns Hawthorne Chapel with Revs. Thomas W. MacLean and George Riddle officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
Survivors were his wife, Mary Choate  Hearne Riddle, a sister and three brothers.
