OBITUARY......
Robert Brice Meek, Sr., 87, died November 23, 2003 at Lake City Veteran's Administration Hospital. He was a native of Clover and was born July 1, 1916 to the late Francis A. and Eulala Boyd Meek
Mr. Meek was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC where he served as a Deacon, an Elder and in later years as Elder Emertius. After moving to Florida he attended Hopeful Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church of Lake City, FL. He was a retired farmer and was retired from Community Cash Grocery Stores. Mr. Meek was an US Army Veteran of World War II and served in five major campaigns in the European Theater, including the Invasion of France and the Battle of the Ardennes. He was the widower of his first wife, Gladys Johnson Meek.
The funeral was held November 25, 2003, at Hopeful Baptist Church, with the Revs. Rodney Baker and Lowell O'steem officiating
A graveside service and burial was held November 26, 2003 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. John A. Gess officiating.
Survivors include his second wife, Fay Dicks Gay Meek, one son, one daughter and a number of close relatives.
