Biography

OBITUARY:  
Mrs. Sarah Helen Hamel Mathis, 52, passed away May 27, 1977, in a Colunbia hospital.
She was born September 13, 1924, in Clover, South Carolina, to William Alexander Hamel and Carrie Currence Hamel. She was a retired employee of the Uniroyal Corporation.  She was the wife of Hoyle V. Mathis.
Surviving, in addition to her parents and her husband, were two daughters, two sons, eight grand-children, four sisters, and a brother.
Funeral service was held May 29, 1977, at Pope Funeral Home.  Burial was in Bethel Church Cemetery, Clover, South Carolina.
