Biography

OBITUARY:
Mrs. Carrie Campbell Currence Hamel, 98, passed away November 5, 1988, at Meadow Haven Nursing Center.
Mrs. Hamel was born January 1, 1890, to James David Brainard Currence and Frances Clementine Robinson Currence. She was the widow of William Alexander Hamel. Mrs. Hamel was a native of York County, South Carolina, a homemaker, and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Surviving were a son, four daughters, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was held November 7, 1988, at Bass Funeral Home, with Rev. Shelton Sanford officiating. Interment was at Bethel Church Cemetery, Clover, South Carolina
