HARRIET S. NEELY/BORN APRIL 19TH/1839/DIED APRIL 13TH/1855.
Inscription on the back side: "The gentle Shepherd sought his Lamb/In stillness of the night,/He led her sleeping through the vale,/Into the land of Light./Amid the loving friends of Earth,/She laid her down to rest./Her waking was in Paradise/Upon a Saviour's breast./Garments of Snowy white we bring/As her last earthly dress./Above she wears the spotless robe/of Jesus' Righteousness./We twine a wreath of fading flowers/Around her forehead now./In Heaven a Crown of life is set,/Upon her radient brow./We place within her folded hands,/A fair half-open'd rose,/But in that bright celestial clime/the Rose of Sharon grows./Around the silent sleeping one/Our tears fall thick and fast,/The sunlight of her Heavenly Home/No sorrow can o'er-cast./The Lord himself shall wipe away,/All tears from off her eyes./And lead her with a loving hand,/Where living waters rise./To us whom she has left behind,/Her memory is a charm/To draw as to that better Land,/No more to part again."
