Soapstone tablet with one large and one small granite lawn-style marker in front of the tablet. The inscription on the large granite marker is as follows: "IN MEMORY OF/WILLIAM RATCHFORD/HE DIED NOV. 13, 1804/THE 80TH YEAR OF HIS AGE/HARK FROM THE TOMBS AND DOLFUL SOUND/MY EARS ATTEND THE CRY/YE LIVING MEN COME VIEW THE GROUND/WHERE YOU MUST SHORTLY LIE". The smaller granite lawn style marker has the inscription "WILLIAM/RATCHFORD/1724 - 1804/PATRIOT". Located beside this marker and the marker for William Ratchford is a small granite marker flush with the ground with the inscription "ERECTED BY/THEIR DESCENDANTS/DECEMBER 1976".
