Mary Frances Riddle, age 9, died July 16, 1892 at her home due to complications from an accident. She was born at Zeno, SC on November 11, 1882 to Robert B. Riddle and Hannah E. Riddle. She was their eldest child. She lived only a few hours after the accident happened. In her last moments she said, "God will save me. I know He will save me, because I trust Him. I know He will save me because I prayed to Him."
When her pastor came she was unconscious, but amid the moans of pain, over and over would be heard the prayers: "God have mercy; come Jesus and come quick." After four hours of mortal agony, she sweetly fell asleep in Jesus.
