Biography

OBITUARY......
Mrs. Carl Rush Grey (Helen Riddle Grey), 23, passed away May 22, 1911 at the home of her father, Robert Benjamin Riddle. She had been confined to her bed for several months with anemia and death came as a relief to her suffering. She was born September 11, 1887 to Robert Benjamin Riddle and the late Hannah Elizabeth Grist Riddle. She was known and loved in Gastonia, NC where she had visited extensively.  Her charming personality and sweet disposition endeared her to everyone who knew her.
Mrs. Grey's funeral was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC, where she was a member, with Dr. Robert Adams officiating. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Grey leaves behind her sorrowing husband, Carl Rush Gray, with two infant children, Margaret, two years old exactly on the day of her mother's death, and Robert, three months old. In addition her father, Robert Benjamin Riddle,  survives along with four brothers and one sister.
