OBITUARY...
Thomas Howard Riddle, 78, died November 29, 1964 at the home of his son, Rev. George L. Riddle, Cherryville, NC. Mr. Riddle was born April 10, 1886, son of the late R. B. and Hannah Grist Riddle. Mr. Riddle was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Miller Riddle, just a few months earlier, on June 22, 1964. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge since July 23, 1907.
Funeral services were held at Bethel Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Kenneth I. Newman, and interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dr. Harry Riddle, Ralph Caldwell, Robert Barnett, Lacy K. Ford, C. Robert Gray and George Jenkins.
Mr. Riddle was survived by four sons, Rev. George L. Riddle, Cherryville, NC, James L. Riddle, Asheboro, NC, R. Pressley Riddle, Clover, SC, William H. Riddle, Charlotte, NC; a sister, Mrs. R. E. Forbes, Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Joe S. Riddle, Columbia, SC and J. A. Riddle, Franklin, NC and five grandchildren.
